Planting daffodils and bluebells on Broadstone Fields

🖐🏼 LOVE Heaton Chapel and Friends of Broadstone Fields with help from GoodGym Stockport and local residents are coming together on Saturday 30th October at 10am to plant 100s of Daffodils and Bluebells around the perimeter of Broadstone Fields, litter pick and generally tidy it up a bit! 🌼

👨‍👩‍👦 Families and Children are welcome at any time even if you can make it for just 20 minutes! 👩🏼‍🌾 If you can; please bring spades, trowels, useful gardening tools, bin bags and green bins for tidying up. If you have any plants or bulbs you wish to donate, bring these too! 🗑️ Litter Pickers & Bin Bags will be provided - any rubbish we collect will be removed by Stockport Council. 🌧️ If the weather is particularly bad and we postpone the event, we’ll post a message on the Friends of Broadstone Fields and LOVE Heaton Chapel Facebook Group.

🌳 Funding has been secured for a small community orchard (in part of one of the fields) and a fixed sign showcasing the history of Broadstone Hall. A Stockport Council survey will follow in the new year regarding the community orchard.
