Date and time
10:45 - 13:45Parkwood Forest Garden is a beautiful calm space and a productive permaculture project. It is a young forest garden developed by Sheffield City Council in association with volunteers. The Forest Garden is a productive managed woodland, which produces food for both people and wildlife. We have been volunteering regularly at this great location since Feb 2019, our monthly maintenance activities generally include: weeding, mulching and pruning. Meet at Parkwood Springs Forest Garden car park (10.45am) (opposite flats 104-138), Shirecliffe Road, S5 8XB and walk over to the garden at 11.00am. If you would like to come along, but can only make part of the session please do come along. It’s a 5 minute walk to the garden from the car park, we can provide directions to the garden. Please note: there are no toilets on site. Volunteers break at 1.00pm, you can bring your own drink and snack or food to share. There is usually a hot drink too :) It has been lovely sharing food together 😊 The gardening session is due to finish at around 2.00 pm. All tools and appropriate training are provided. Please wear sturdy shoes, warm clothes in winter, and come and join us.
How are you getting there?
