Leon from Birmingham Central Foodbank has been in touch to ask for some help on Monday with the packing shift.
It is Harvest Festival on Sunday, so they are hoping and expecting more donations than on usual weeks.
The volunteer shift usually comprises of: weighing trays of donated food, sorting mixed donations into food groups, labelling use by dates and stocking shelves ready for the Foodbank service.

Our Harvest collection is completed and we only have a fraction of what was expected. Can I cancel Caroline and Nadia for tomorrow please, apologies
He said that they have had to rely on virtual giving due to Covid and it really hasn’t had the expected response. Very disappointing but thank you for offering to help at short notice.
