Moonlit Miles is returning this autumn, bringing together Manchester's running community, community groups and partners to help people feel safer and more confident being active during the darker months.
Moonlit Miles is open to everyone and aims to bring together Manchester's diverse running community, local organisations and residents to share knowledge, promote personal safety and encourage people to stay active during the darker evenings. The event will feature a community event village, partners offering advice and support, and a welcoming 3km run designed to connect people with local running opportunities.
They are looking for volunteers to support the event from 5pm to 9pm to help out as:
Route Marshalls: Act as a way-finder and visual marker along the route to guide the runners
Pacers: Take part in running some of the laps to lead the runners and help set the pace
Welcome stall: Greet people arriving for the event and give directions for where to go
Bag drop: Look after the cloakroom drop off point where people can drop off their belongings while they're running
Head torches will be available on a first come, first served basis, so please bring your own if you have one! They would love for you to dress bright & bring lights down to make light up the park.
How are you getting there?
