Five brave Chelmsford GoodGym runners met up for a litter pick in the first of the autumn rain. It was great to see Russell D again after what has felt like a lifetime. Hopefully see you again soon at one of our upcoming Community Missions.

Meeting at our usual place at the university It was certainly much milder that it has been in recent weeks and there were dark gray clouds above our destination; the Miami roundabout!!! Whilst running there the heavens did indeed open, but thankfully, once we had arrived at the task the rain had ceased and left behind a trail of rubbish... Or maybe that was the McDonalds.

Wherever the rubbish had originated from we filled up our bags, picking up everything within reach. Julie dashed into the bushes whilst Andy and James managed to find all the large and heavy bits. Then the real challenge came. Finding somewhere to leave our full bags. After a bit of a think and a wonder we eventually found somewhere and finished our evening with a lovely run back to the university.

Our next Community Mission will be helping The Ideas Hub move out of the library to the Meadows which you can sign up to here.
