Welcome to GoodGym Bexley!

We're a friendly, sociable group that combines exercise with practical help for local community organisations and charities. Every Wednesday evening we get active and complete a physical task that makes a real difference locally.

This session is perfect if you're new to GoodGym or just getting started with running. It's only a short distance to the task and back, and no one is ever left behind. Prefer to walk? We've got a walking group too.

The task

We're back for our monthly session at Holy Trinity Lamorbey Primary School to help keep the site looking its best for pupils and staff.

Vice Principal Jane always has a varied list of jobs ready for us, so there's something for everyone to get involved with. It's always a fun evening, and every helping hand makes a difference.

Over the warmer months, our regular visits have included:

  • Cutting back low-hanging tree branches
  • Building wildlife habitats
  • Clearing the nursery's outdoor play area.

When the evenings get darker, we move indoors and in the past we've tackled jobs such as:

  • Sorting musical instruments
  • Clearing the art cupboard
  • Painting classrooms.

Vice Principal Jane always has a varied list of jobs ready for us, so there's something for everyone to get involved with. It's always a fun evening, and every helping hand makes a difference.

Please bring sturdy gloves 🧤 if you have them. All other equipment will be provided.

Walkable

You will be able to join a group walking to the task if you'd prefer not to run.

Options are available to run between 2km and 3km in total

Remember that we run/walk to and from the task, so you'll only be running/walking for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
