Helping sort donations at Scope

Join us to do good and get fit

Welcome to GoodGym Leicester! We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects in our area.

The Task:

We're off to Scope on Rutland St, a fantastic disability equality charity, to help sort out their donations. We dive into the basement and get to work sorting the bin bags full of donated clothes into categories to make it easier for the shop staff to find what they need quickly when restocking the store upstairs. We also have a team pricing up items for the shop floor.

The Run/walk:

GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities and it is often possible to walk to the task if you would prefer. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is. For this task we usually have a walking group going directly to the task (around 1km each way) and a running group taking a longer (3km) route around to the task.

Date and time

5:45pm - 7:30pm Tuesday, 17th of December 2019
Options are available to run between 2km and 5km in total

Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you can't run for more than 15mins without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
