Date and time
09:00 - 10:30As part of a rolling programme of Leeds Housing estate clean-ups in Hunslet and Riverside Ward, we have been invited to work with Cleaner Neighbourhoods to support with clean ups - as a lot of clearing work was missed due to staff absence over the pandemic.
We have been asked to help the Cleaner Neighbourhoods team. We will be doing a range of tasks including: - Weeding ginnels, footpaths and carpark areas. - Cutting overgrown vegetation in ginnels or encroaching on footpaths - Footpath edging to remove soil/grass creep from green areas.
Cleaner Neighbourhoods would welcome our support so together we can do as much work as possible across the sites in Leeds.
This week we will be helping to clear Zone 3. See the image below for where this is. Staff will be onsite from 9am. They will be easily visable but you may need to look out for other volunteers when you arrive.
Please wear your GoodGym t-shirt and introduce yourself on arrival. Wear gardening gloves if you can. Additional equipment should be available
