Helping out at Windmill Gardens !!

This is our first community event of 2023 in the park and we want it to ensure it is a success.

Our April gardening workshop in Windmill Gardens will prepare the park for our Easter Sunday family fun treasure hunt. Children will search the park for clues to complete the hunt and gain an Easter Egg. We need to ensure the park is safe and looking its best for all the children and their families.

We will be litter-picking and tidying up all the flower areas of the park. We need to finish weeding and re-seeding the wildflower area and checking on all the young trees in the mini orchard area.

Please dress appropriately for gardening as the ground will be wet after recent rains. FoWG will provide latex gloves and gardening gloves and tools and more experienced gardeners to lead on different tasks.

FoWG will explain the correct use of tools and provide support for all tasks. Be prepared for changing weather conditions and wear suitable clothing. There will be access to safe storage of personal bags and toilets are available.
