Who this task will support
Friends of Round Hill Society
The Round Hill Society represents the area comprising the Round Hill Conservation Area and the north side of Upper Lewes Road between Wakefield Road and the eastern end of Roundhill Crescent. Its purpose is to preserve the conservation area by promoting high standards of planning and architecture, to educate others, to improve the environmental quality of the area and to create civic pride and a sense of community within the area of benefit.

Get ready for a full body workout- it's time to do some green community action in this delightfully hilly neighborhood. We will join local community volunteers of the Round Hill Society ready with choppers, secateurs, weed scrapers, paint brushers and rollers provided by the Tidy Up Team.

โ“ What is the Task?

We will help with:

  • cutting back overhanging greenery;
  • Scraping weeds from pavements;
  • Weeding;
  • anti-tagging (paint) action;
  • Having Good time together ๐Ÿ˜Š.

๐Ÿ“ When and Where?

  • If running as a group, meet at 6:15pm @ Queen's Victoria Statue (Victoria Gardens), in Brighton to leave soon after and no later than 6:30pm;
  • If late, meet from 18:40 @ the top of Cats Creep (junction between Wakefield Road, Richmond Road and Prince Crescent) .

  • Bring your garden gloves;
  • Don't wear your perfect outfit (if painting);
  • If late/can't find us, contact the Area Activator or the Task Force task lead via our WhatsApp group.

You will be able to join a group walking to the task if you'd prefer not to run.

Options are available to run between 2km and 4km in total

Remember that we run/walk to and from the task, so you'll only be running/walking for half this distance in one go.
