With a 10K or a half marathon distance to choose from, tens of thousands of runners take to the streets of Manchester to take on the city’s most loved AJ Bell Great Manchester Run each year. And in true Mancunian style, it’s a party from start to finish, with a high-energy soundtrack, live music and entertainment zones at every turn – plus, some of the loudest and most enthusiastic local support we’ve seen anywhere in the UK.

I am running the half marathon in the morning on behalf of Manchester South-Central Foodbank to raise funds and awareness for the important work they do in running a local foodbank, in addition to Bridging the Gap to help raise local families out of poverty. I'll likely be running with a bag of donations or a bag with the weight of a single food parcel, or something like that to raise awareness for what to donate and what a donation goes towards.

Be great to get a GoodGym group out, either running or to support during the race!
