Sunnyside is UP. I think last time we paid a visit it was pitch black. It was great to see Yvonne and Alan again.

Joining us for the very first time tonight were Ruth and Elaine. And back from a well-earned rest were Brighton marathoners Graham and Alix. And it's worth mentioning Bella who was doing her actual 50th good deed tonight. Think she deserves a big cheer.

Some GOONS (yes, that's a word I always use, it's not just for the pun report title) have fly-tipped a load of bark in the garden. And there was a lot of it. I don't think this was some shady character in the night with their Nissan Micra, it looks like a lorry job.

Anyway, it was right in the way, so somebody needed to move it. Who was that somebody? Us. GoodGym. Those people that do good and get fit. That's us.

We grabbed spades and shovels and wheelbarrows and bags and worked our good little socks off to the sound of Patrick's choonz stopping only for an Italian wafer to fuel our muscles.

Look at the before and after comparison photos. Just look at them! Could you do that in half an hour? NO! Unless of course you're reading this report because you were on the run last night in which case you did do that.

We asked Alan for a quote for the run report and he came up with an interesting suggestion...

Next time we're here we should split into two groups, one of men and the other of women and have a COMPETITION.

Sounds divisive and I like it. Thanks, Alan.

Patrick and Caroline, the evening's star run leaders, led groups back to the pool where Caroline led a stretch and we voted on the big issue. Is it more important to finish a race before getting medical attention or do it the other way round?

Most voted for finishing the race first. On your heads be it!

Post-run some folk went to the pub to discuss the GoodGym Olympics. This is happening on Saturday June 10th and everybody is welcome to participate regardless of ability.

See you next week and remember it's a Bank Holiday so don't leave anything in the pool lockers or it'll get locked in. People are welcome to leave stuff in my car at my risk.

See you soon,
Simon
