GoodGym Ealing/We Run Ealing - Rock n Roll part 1!
A 10k social run taking in some of Ealing's famous rock history!
Location
University of West London, Ealing CampusSt Mary's Road

Date and time
18:00 - 19:00The London Borough of Ealing has long been associated with rock n roll. In the build up to the world famous Hanwell Hootie, London's largest free music festival, on Saturday 9 May, we've plotted a 10k route that visits some of the places in the borough that have contributed to this legacy. We can go our own way as we touch where some of the rock stars were born, lived, rehearsed, twisted and shouted in the borough.
Be ready to come close to Queen, The Who, Faces, The Rolling Stones, Jamiroquai, The Beatles, The Kinks, Rod Stewart, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Brand New Heavies, Fleetwood Mac! Can you dig it?!
We'll meet outside the St Mary's Road entrance to The University of West London - be ready to be sailing at 6.00pm sharp.
We'll be joined by our friends from We Run Ealing. The pace will be social, there'll be brief stops for the paparazzi and chatting is encouraged! And if you have any long tales or gossip about the bands, do spill!
As with any run, dress for the weather (leather trousers might be a step too far!) and bring any water or gig rider you think you might need.
We'll end our tour in Hanwell, the home of the Hootie and a place chock full of rock history!
(and watch out for part 2, covering the east of the borough)
