Who this task will support
Short Sighted Cinema CIC
A registered community interest company based in the London Borough of Bexley that supports and champions short form British cinema with screenings and events that offer great value to filmmakers and audiences alike. As a non-profit organisation, it aims to bring independent British cinema to new audiences, particularly those of working class and global majority backgrounds.

The Shortest Nights is a film festival in Sidcup organised by Short Sighted Cinema, a not-for profit community interest company. The festival showcases the best in up-and-coming British filmmaking talent on 5th and 6th September at the wonderful Castle Sidcup cinema.

To help Short Sighted Cinema spread the word about their festival we're teaming up with local running group All Pace Run Club for a gentle chatty run delivering leaflets through letterboxes in streets nearby the cinema.

All Pace is a friendly, inclusive running club that welcomes runners of different abilities and paces, with a focus on enjoying running together and building a supportive community.

Our collaboration came about because the festival director, Gem, runs with All Pace Run Club alongside some of our GoodGymers. Together we hatched a plan to pull together to promote the event.

Come along, meet some fellow runners, support a brilliant local event and help put The Shortest Nights in front of a few more potential film fans 🎬🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♂️‍➡️.

Afterwards you are welcome to join us in The Hoppers Hut for a quick drink before heading home.

🎯The task

We’ll meet up, grab a bundle of leaflets and head out around the area local to Castle Sidcup cinema, working as a team to get them through as many letterboxes as possible.

We'll be jogging up and down garden paths at a leisurely, chatty, pace and covering 2-3km around the route.
