GG Redbridge - Rainbow Pride run

Sense of community and health benefits

Description

This week we are celebrating Pride by running whilst wearing rainbow colours to show our support for LGBTQ+ community.

Flag history: this goes back all the way to 1978 when the artist Gilbert Baker, inspired by Harvey Milk, designed the first flag to create a symbol of pride for gay community. From then on the design has expanded as well as the community it represents expanded to LGBTQ+ groups.

Rules: Get our for a run or walk between Monday and Friday w/c 29th June and send us a picture of you wearing your colour. Bonus points for finding a place/sign/historical location that represents Pride

There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk. Participants accept full responsibility for items stored at Wanstead House Community Association, and Wanstead House Community Association and GoodGym will not be held liable for any losses or damages.

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New runners are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

There's a place to leave bags and a toilet at the start point, all you need to do is bring your trainers. It's free to try - get involved!
