Gardening, painting, dismantling, shifting...at the Lighthouse Gardens in Stratford E20.

The Lighthouse Gardens are tucked away behind some fencing in an area just beside Stratford International Station and the Westfield Centre. The idea behind the gardens is to provide the local community with an area to congregate, learn, grow, and build new connections.

We have helped them in the past (with painting a wooden ship - it's still there!), and they have asked for our help over the summer months to do some garden tidying, help dismantle some old wooden chairs, moving items around, mowing, and potentially paint some of the fencing, such that the area will look tidier and more welcoming for the community.

Join us if you can for an evening in an amazing space (that you've probably walked past many times without realising what's on the other side of the fence!) where we'll be able to make a real difference to the community garden for the benefit of everyone who visits.

Equipment will be provided, but if you have gardening gloves it would be helpful to bring those to the task.

There'll be a run option (c1m/1.6km) from the London Aquatics Centre - we'll meet there at 6.45pm and return there after the task - alternatively you can meet us directly at the task.
