Welcome to GoodGym Bexley!

We're a friendly and sociable group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every Wednesday evening to get active and do a physical task to help community organisations and charities in our area.

This session is ideal if you are new to GoodGym or just getting started with running, as it's a short distance there and back. Prefer to walk there? No problem, we can have a walking group to get there too. Nervous about coming on your own for the first time? Why not invite a friend to come along with you.

The task

Bexley Mencap have asked our help with leafletting for their Sports Festival in Danson Park later in the month.

We'll start from The Boathouse function room in Danson Park, doing a short fitness session before heading off into the neighbouring roads, popping leaflets through letterboxes as we go.

This is a great way to get in some steps and there's always plenty of fun and chatting as we cover the area.

📍Getting there

If you'd like to join the group run meet at 6.35pm outside the reception at Crook Log Sports Centre, Brampton Road, Bexleyheath DA7 4HH (What3Words: risks.bets.rider). After a short warm-up it's 2km to starting point for the task at The Boathouse function room in Danson Park.

On our group run/walks we stick together and no-one is left behind, so it's ideal if you are new to running. We'll run back together afterwards or you can make your own way home from the task if you prefer.

If you are going directly to the task, meet outside The Boathouse function room in Danson Park (What3Words: adding.reach.hello) for a 7pm start.

Please leave a message below to say whether you'll be joining the group run, or going direct.

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

Walkable

You will be able to join a group walking to the task if you'd prefer not to run.

Options are available to run between 4km and 4km in total

Remember that we run/walk to and from the task, so you'll only be running/walking for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
