The Western Road Urban Garden project aims to create an accessible community green space in an area that most local people are completely unaware of. The 2600 sq metres site of former Western Road Allotments has fallen into neglect in the past few decades, but has a great future ahead of it - it is being transformed into a multipurpose community garden that will provide food, horticulture, leisure and community interaction.
Southall Community Alliance arranged a community garden day to help create a new space on the site, where the community can come together, connect and relax.
It will be a fun outdoor exercise with a lot of physical work! 🤸🏽 And maybe samosas? 🤔

- laying a new membrane to stop weeds from growing

- Gardening gloves, if you have them.
🕑 When?
- 10:00-12:00
- The event will last 2 hours. If you can spare less than that, you are still welcome to join.
