Task details

We're so happy to be able to work with Goldsmiths Community Centre again!

The volunteers have been busy through lockdown, working in the outdoor space, growing vegetables and maintaining the garden. Ahead of the return of visitors, the edges of the space need our attention, with brambles and nettles taking over. We will cut these back using shears and so on, so please bring your own gardening gloves to protect your hands and to avoid having to borrow them.

Please arrive promptly for an 11am start, meeting at the Castillon Road entrance (near the 124 bus stop), you will then be shown into the space safely. You will be met by Roz, who will give direction on where to wash your hands and to access tap water if you need it (please bring your own bottle). As you are working with potentially sharp plants, you might like to cover your arms and legs.

Don't forget that you can head off for a socially distanced run with fellow GoodGymers after the task and remember to take photos and share these in the report or via Twitter (@GGLewisham)!
