After the festive season is over, thousands of Christmas trees will need to be cleared away – and North London Hospice turns this into an amazing fundraising opportunity. Last year, they collected over 1000 Christmas trees, raised over £19,500 for their hospice care and neighbouring charities, and produced heaps of wood chip for community gardens and orchards to use for mulch.

We’ve been asked to lend a hand again with this year’s collection. It’s a fantastic way to make a direct difference.

What you’ll do: • Join a van team collecting Christmas trees across the area • Lift and load trees with the driver and other volunteers • Take trees to the drop-off point where they’ll be chipped and recycled

When: 📅 Every day from Saturday 9th to Thursday 14th January 2027 ⏰ Meet at 8:15am – finishing around 2:30–3:00pm (you don’t have to do all days – sign up for whichever suits you)
