Soil traders

Divya and Michelle headed over to Berrymede school to lend a hand at one of our regular tasks, working with Cultivate London.

Today’s job was to help with the third stage of composting, sifting the compost we’d helped to prep a few weeks ago. Romina showed us how to sieve the soil and we rehoused some of the worms in the wormery before transferring into bags to be used in the planters around the school.

Although it looked quite simple it was actually quite the workout and before long we’d filled 4 bags and were handing over to a couple of local resident volunteers to carry on where we’d left off.
