A bit if drizzle and some folk from Brizzle joining us this morning for a 5k run down and back up to Bath city farm to reorganise some manure and manoeuvre a few barrows down to the allotment.

A warm welcome to our Goodgym tourists from Bristol having hot footed it across to Bath from Pomphrey hill park run to join us for a mucky task and a rather steep field. A nice steady start to our run to warm up on the way down to Bath city farm in full knowledge that once there we would be tackling that steep field on site. We were welcomed by our host and soon issued with wheel barrows, spades and forks, including a rather nice pitch fork that Gary named The daddy of all forks. We tackled the manure heaps in pairs moving piles one and three into two and compressing with the top layer of pile four after Dave had enjoyed a bit of Boogie bounce to assist with the process, whilst The Magnificent Seven watched in amazement. I don't know about you but even im confused. Once we had this licked the lower half of pile four had to be taken down across the steep field to the allotment area ready to be put to good use in the organic veg beds. Working hard for an hour on today's task it was a welcome relief to hear the words Stop, Tea. and Biscuits! well it would be rude not to obey. This led to another discussion on pink wafers (don't ask, it's a Bristol thing) and biscuits in general.

Time to hot foot it back up the hill to base for a well earned stretch and some post run refreshments with a pun discussion, to be honest I think we were all in post ultra sympathy with Matt, brain drained.

Thank you Gary, Paul, Matt, Sioned and Dave for tourist ing today and Rosie and Mary for keeping us in line.

Don't forget to bring your ID to the next group run, let's get some more isolated people paired up.

No better way to spend a Saturday morning... Brilliant people doing a brilliant job
