Next year the organisers of the London Marathon are bringing a new event to the streets of London. The Big Half, happening on Sunday 4th March, will be a unique day of sporting celebration. More than just a race, the day will include various events for people to get involved with. The programme includes:

A key theme of the event is grassroots engagement and GoodGym will be working alongside London Marathon Events to engage new runners from the four host boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lewisham and Greenwich. Spaces in the race have been reserved for residents of these boroughs and GoodGym will helping to ensure runners are ready come race day. Anyone not run a half marathon before and signing up through GoodGym will get discounted entry of £10.
From now until February there will be additional starter sessions each month, each one including a run, fitness session and the chance to do something good in the local community. To find out more and get involved simply click here.
