GoodGym is a wonderful initiative. It combines three of the most powerful ways of uplifting your own wellbeing – exercising, socialising, and, above all, doing good for others

All of our tasks are fun, but this one really felt like we were having a clear and direct impact on those in need, and whilst packing the bags we could literally imagine a child opening their bag on Christmas Day.

Area Activator for Wandsworth and Hounslow. All things running. For fitness, fun, racing and to feel good - and for everybody!
The Abbey Community Centre is a local community hub that has supported the heart of Westminster for 77 years, helping everyone from children to adults in the local area. It has a diverse group of service users that rely on the work the centre does.
They have a small community garden to the rear of our building that needs some weeding, planting and other duties done on a regular basis. We will also be doing jobs around the centre. We will be visiting the centre once every month so make sure it is well cared for so that local people can use it freely.
We will follow the session with a short, fun workout!
Either meet us for a run to the task outside the Lodge cafe, Hyde Park (https://maps.app.goo.gl/HBisYRSUExBvepKk8) near the Hyde Park Corner entrance to the park, or directly at the Abbey Centre at 18:50
GoodGym are supporting TeamUp - 26th Jan - 1st Feb. Team Up is a national week of action dedicated to rallying behind young men and boys, helping to ensure they have the support, connection, and confidence to navigate life’s challenges.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us by email at getinvolved@goodgym.org.
The total distance of this group run is 6km.
Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

GoodGym is a community of people that get fit by doing good. We run, walk and cycle to do practical tasks for community organisations and isolated older people.
