Wrap up your week by helping the Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank team pack down after their busy Friday session at St Matthew’s Church. This short task helps reset the space for weekend services — and your support goes a long way. 💪
You’ll be working as part of a small GoodGym team to:
📦 Pack away surplus food stock and move crates
💪 Collapse and relocate tables
🪑 Stack and move chairs to prepare the space for church services
This is a practical, physical job that helps the foodbank run smoothly and ensures the space is ready for its next use. 💚
📍 Where: St Matthew’s Church, Wandsworth Bridge Road, London, SW6 2TX
🕓 When: Fridays, 4:15pm–5:00pm
👟 Runners needed: Up to 4
📧 Questions?: Contact Orla at volunteer@hammersmithfulham.foodbank.org.uk
Important Notes:
Please enter via the main entrance — it will be open after the foodbank session
On arrival, ask for Sian or Frank, the volunteer supervisors
Use safe manual handling techniques throughout
You won’t be supporting clients directly unless you’re registered with the foodbank
A short shift, a big help — let’s tidy up and make a difference before the weekend begins! 🙌🧃
