The Tiny Forest Wildlife Count is a UK-wide survey of over 200 Tiny Forests, taking place from May 17 to June 1, 2025. The survey aims to track how these urban woodlands support wildlife and urban spaces, and to engage local communities in observing and counting wildlife. Participants are encouraged to sign up for a free Wildlife Count Pack and submit their observations
The Task
We are helping the Friends group giving the tiny forest in White Hart Rec a good once over as part of the Wildlife Count this month. Join us!
The run
We will be running together to the task. Our runs are accessible to all and we leave no one behind. Join us! We're hoping to cover just under 2k in about 15 mins. Departing Blue House Yard at 6:45 on the dot!
Alternatively, you can meet us at the task directly.
Tiny Forest brings the benefits of a forest right into the heart of our cities and urban spaces. Earthwatch planted the UK’s first Tiny Forest in the UK in 2020. Since then the movement has grown to over 200 forests, bringing together communities, public sector and businesses. Tiny Forest is more than just trees. This amazing phenomenon reconnects people with nature, enhances wellbeing, helps mitigate the impacts of climate change and provides nature-rich habitat patches to support urban wildlife.
