For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
In the UK, poppies symbolise the sacrifices made by those who served in wars and act as a reminder of the bravery of the Armed Forces community.
In October we helped Discover Welling put up remembrance poppies on lamp posts along Welling High Street, as a mark of respect for Armistice Day and Remembrance Day.
🎯The task
In this session we'll be helping to take down the Remembrance poppies and keeping them safe to be used again next year.
We’ll work our way along one side of the road, then head back along the other, collecting the poppies and reusable cable-ties as we go.
It’s a simple task with a surprisingly good step count — see you there.
📍When and where
Meet at Welling Library on Welling High Street, DA16 3PA at 3pm.
