Getting there

For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!

    About this session

A disability inclusion sports event happens every year at Stoke Park Trust. It relies on lots of volunteers to make it a success ,running 12 inclusion sports events, for example, Basketball Hoops, Table Tennis, New Age Kurling, Archery, Football Skittles, Boccia and Bean Bag Throw.

    We require support to:

    • make sure volunteers allocated to sports events have drinks and snacks offered to them. The volunteers are spread across our building and fields.
    • sports event support. This could include picking up balls / beanbags etc to re-set the game. Engage with the competitors who always like to talk.
    • admin sports support. Writing down participant scores. Medals are awarded for the best participants.
    • other ad-hoc tasks.

No sports event experience is necessary. It is aimed to be a relaxed event with everyone encouraged to have a go. If you help on an event, you will be partnered with someone who has done it before.

The priority goodgym task of volunteer welfare drinks and snacks run will start at 10.30am.

Volunteers are welcome to arrive when they want and stay as long as they are able to. The day officially runs from 9.30am-5pm. Ask for Clare White on arrival.

Stoke Park Trust are grateful for any help on the day.

    What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs

This session is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area. They are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the session as it is described and you do so at your own risk.
