About this session

Welcome to GoodGym Bexley!

We're a friendly and sociable group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community.

We meet every Wednesday evening to get active and do a physical task to help the community organisations and charities in our area. But this is a one-off Tuesday session for an extra dose of good-deeding this week.

There's an optional group run to get there and back, or you can make your own way. The run is at a pace to suit everyone and we never leave anyone behind.

The task

We meet every Wednesday evening to get active and do a physical task to support community organisations and charities in our area. This week, though, we're squeezing in an extra dose of good-deeding with a one-off Tuesday session!

There's an optional group run to get there and back, or you can make your own way. We run at a pace to suit everyone and never leave anyone behind.

The task

This promises to be a fun session as we help the teachers get ready for the children's nativity play by sorting props and costumes, as well as wrapping presents 🎭 🎁.

And even better, it'll be a lovely, cosy indoor task, so no need to worry about the weather. Let the festive preparations begin!

📍Where and when

The task is at Holy Redeemer Pre-School within the grounds of Holy Redeemer Church at 64 Days Lane, Sidcup DA15 8JR. What3Words location: ///chefs.garden.pools.

Head into the Community Centre building where Laura, the Pre-School Manager, will meet us.

Getting there

If you are making your own way please get there for 7pm. Let us know via the comments below that you are going there directly.

For the group run meet outside the reception at Sidcup Leisure Centre, Hurst Road, DA15 9AE at 6.30pm. After a short warm-up we'll have a chatty 2km run to the task as a group. We'll keep things at a pace that's comfortable for everyone.

Afterwards we'll run back to the Leisure Centre together or you can make your own way home.

What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us by email at bexley@goodgym.org.

The total distance of this group run is 4km.

Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

Hi Sarah, if it’s okay, I’ll make my way directly to the school as I’ll only be able to walk. I don’t want to hold anyone up if they’d prefer to run at their own pace. Thank you
