For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
✅ Task
Join us to serve meals for residents at Jimmy's. We'll be serving dinner and then clearing the kitchen.
Please note, there is a limited number for this task due to the size of the kitchen. Please add a comment below if there are no spaces left, so that we can do two evenings next month.
📌 Two ways to join: for the run and the task, or meet us directly at the task. At both meeting points you can't miss our red t-shirts!
For the run: Meet at Parkside Pools at 6:15pm. We will meet at the entrance to Parkside Pools (Gonville Place, CB1 1LY. W3W: friend.become.area) where there are toilets and a bag drop. We'll warm up and then head out for a 3km jog/run, staying together as a group and mix in some fitness activities too. Sign up separately above.
For the task: Meet outside Jimmy's at 6:50pm. Location details at the top of the page.
Dinner service is from 7:20-8pm with 20 for minutes clear up afterwards.
💛 If it is your first time coming to GoodGym you are very welcome here - our friendly GoodGymers will be waiting to say hi!
About GoodGym
We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects across Cambridge.
Jimmy’s is a community-based charity providing both support and housing to people who are rough sleeping. Opened in 1995 as Cambridge’s first all year round night shelter and now offers a much wider range of support. Valuing and respecting everyone who needs our services, Jimmy’s staff work with each person to provide options, tools and skills to support them on their journey, developing a tailored pathway to independence. Through our many years of experience of working with vulnerable individuals we recognise the need for everyone to be treated in a confidential manner and with respect, compassion, and empathy.

This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
