For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
Red Run LDN is a charity event in our nearby Victoria Park, with 5k and 10k distances and two of Tower Hamlets GGers are taking part. Volunteering support is needed between 9am and 2pm and there are a number of roles, including:
• Route stewards – Responsible for guiding participants around the course, cheering them on and creating a fun atmosphere.
• Registration – Registering all participants, handing out runner packs and signposting them to bag check.
• Bag Check – Check in bags and coats for participants.
• Water and medal hand out – Initially to stand along route and provide water to participants. When run finishes handout medals to all participants.
• Coffee stall attendants – Prepare water for coffees and handout to public.
• Facilities assistants – Maintain toilet queue and toilet roll supply.
Timings to be there will depend on the activity, please sign up if you can spare an hour or two and we'll find suitable roles for everyone. There'll be time for parkrun beforehand!
ABOUT RED RUN Since its start in 2009, the event has become the UK’s largest World AIDS Day fundraiser and has raised over £1.5m for 30 HIV charities and projects across the UK. It unites HIV charities, those living with HIV, and the broader community. All ages and abilities are welcome to take part in Red Run. Together, it raises awareness, celebrates progress, and advocates for continued support for people living with HIV.

Hi. 9 - 2 is a long time for some of us. Ard there any volunteer roles which are for a shorter time?
Wed 21st Oct at 9:41pm
Hey Gabriel, what I mean there is the whole event runs in that time. The different roles will have their own slots, so no one will have to stay all five hours 🙂
