Welcome to GoodGym Newcastle! We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects in our area.
The Task:
I'm busy confirming what exactly we'll be doing this week, it'll definitely be something amazing in our community. Check back soon for more details.
The Run/walk:
GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities and it is often possible to walk to the task if you would prefer. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Newcastle runner by email at richardborrowdale@goodgym.org.

Group run cancellation Following extensive research, consultation with our trustees and work on how GoodGym as a community can play a positive role during the Coronavirus outbreak we have reached the conclusion to make extensive changes to our operations. **All group runs will stop for the foreseeable future** This decision has been made as these are the events at which most people gather and at which we are most at risk of spreading infection. We will continue to update this page with our most up to date guidance: https://www.goodgym.org/stories/coronavirus-information-for-goodgym-activities
