Getting there

For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!

    About this session

We're back for our monthly session with the super-friendly Friends of Danson Park (FODP), helping to maintain the Woodland Walk and other areas of the park. ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒ

This week we'll be planting some sapling trees in the community orchard area of the park, as part of National Tree Week 2026.

This session is always a great workout and good fun, with the reward of tea and coffee kindly provided by The Stables afterwards โ˜•!

It's fine to leave early if you don't want to commit to the full two hours.

There may not be a GoodGym Bexley leader at this task, but the FODP organisers will make you feel very welcome.

๐Ÿ“ Meeting point : 10am, at the toilet block adjacent to Danson House, and next to the sign marking the start of the Woodland Walk. What3Words location: ///plots.task.parks. (Please note, there are other toilets near the children's playground, but it's not those!)

Please bring gardening gloves if you have them ๐Ÿงค.

This task is ideal if you are running or walking at Bexley parkrun ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs

This session is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area. They are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the session as it is described and you do so at your own risk.
