About this session

Community Mission Join us to help support Cambridge City Foodbank through Your Party Youth Cambridge's mutual aid initiative. YPYC collect foodbank donations in town every week and need our help getting them to the foodbank in East Chesterton.

We'll collect the donations and run, walk or cycle them over. It is 1.5km between collection and drop-off points. Please bring a backpack or similar to carry donated items.

📌 Two ways to join: for the run and the task, or meet us directly at the task. At both meeting points you can't miss our red t-shirts!

  • **For the run: Meet at Parkside Pools at 6pm. We will meet inside the entrance of Parkside Pools where there are toilets and a bag drop. We'll warm up and then head out for a 2.5km jog/run, staying together as a group to head to the collection point.

  • For the task: Meet outside Stir (Chesterton Road, CB4 1BG) at 6:20pm.

💛 If it is your first time coming to GoodGym you are very welcome here - our friendly GoodGymers will be waiting to say hi!

About GoodGym

We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects across Cambridge.

The Run/Walk/Cycle

GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is.

This task supports
Cambridge City Foodbank
Our vision is for a UK without the need for food banks

We meet the need for emergency and affordable food, and tackle the causes of poverty, by harnessing the power of the community.

What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Catherine by email at catherine@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 4km and 6km in total.

Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
