For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
Hear ye, brave souls of the GoodGym Centuria! The Great Festival of Eboracum approaches on the Xth and IXth days before the Kalends of June.
In seasons past, the youth of our colony have gathered at the festival to master the noble script of Latin, engage in tactical games of Latrunculi, and learn the art of smiting barbarians with the finest blades of the Empire. This spectacle promises to be a triumph for every household, yet a shadow looms over the festivities. The grand pavilions—the canvas sanctuaries of our merchants and generals—remain unbuilt. Without their shade, the festival cannot commence.
We require a mighty legion of GoodGym volunteers to march upon the grounds and raise these structures toward the heavens. Your strength is the bedrock upon which this celebration shall stand!
Toga and Galea are optional but encouraged for those wishing to honor the gods of old.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
This session is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area. They are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the session as it is described and you do so at your own risk.
I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got GoodGym.
