Getting there

For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!

About this session

The team at St Margaret's House need a hand with this big clearing task!

Working with the Operations Manager, you're invited to join these drop-in sessions for as long as you like on this fun, physical task.

Everything you need to know about this task

  • This is a drop-in session. Any time you can spare between the listed times will be much appreciated. (We just ask for a minimum time commitment of 1 hour).

  • You need to ask for Operations Manager, Emily, on arrival. Emily can be contacted at emily@stmargaretshouse.org.uk for any questions on this Community Mission (you can also contact Area Activator Laura at laura@goodgym.org with any queries too).

  • Tasks will include:

1) Clearing the site of bricks, wood, old cabinets and broken furniture and putting these into a skip situated in the school playground. This is approximately a 200m route.

2) Creating a wood store!

3) Depending on how quickly the skip gets filled, there will be plenty of other tasks that need doing around the settlement including: weeding, painting doors, building some raised planting beds…

  • St Margaret’s House will provide some gloves and safety glasses, but have advised GoodGymers to wear long sleeves and closed toe shoes, as this task involves carrying items and some heavy lifting.
