About this session

KVA's Surplus to Supper Hub redistributes surplus food to charities and community groups in the local area.

KVA's Surplus to Supper Hub is an initiative run by Kingston Voluntary Action to help reduce food waste and increase food security. A very real problem with the food chain is that sometimes supermarkets are overstocked, especially with fresh fruit and vegetables, and that means any excess can and will go to waste. The Surplus Hub takes this food and give it to those that need it most.

They have asked for our help as they have lots of tasks to do.

Our task list includes:

  • Hosing down the fridge
  • Sweeping outside
  • Cleaning the kitchen and cafe space
  • Cleaning the storage cupboard

There will be lots to do so please join us for this task!

Meet at the Quaker Centre at 6.30pm for a 3.7km run there and a 3.7km run back. Please be aware that it's a slightly longer run than usual. If you would like to meet us there at 7pm the address is: Malden Centre, Blagdon Road, New Malden, KT3 4TA. The meeting point on What3Words is ///chained.fight.factories

This task supports
KVA's Surplus to Supper Hub
