For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
For the 2026 Brighton Marathon weekend (taking place on April 11-12, 2026), a few dedicated "Green Teams" , organised by The Green Runners & Leave No Trace, will actively "plog" (jog and pick up litter) at the Miles event on Saturday and along the 26.2-mile route of the marathon on Sunday. This initiative aims to remove dropped gel sachets, cups, and other waste, following a successful 5K community plogging event held in February 2026 to promote sustainability.
After the parkrun in Preston Park, get involved in volunteering for the Superheros' Waves at the Brighton Miles.
Timing: Volunteers Briefing: 9:00 Arrival Superheros: 10:00 First Mile Wave: 10:30 - 13:30 Last Mile Wave: 13: 30 - 15:00
If interested, best you sign up HERE to let LME (organiser) knows about your attendance. T-shirt + snack to thank you.
GoogGym volunteers are most welcome for various tasks, incl. marshalling at crossing point, finish line, and at the baggage drop, not only for plogging :-)
The GoodGym - Brighton plogging team 2 will gather at The Village Green in Preston Park, Brighton, BN1 6HN, @ Green Runners marquee on Saturday at 12 noon for a meet up and for 1 mile blog run (12pm - 3pm).
It's going to be Good Fun, as usually is when GoodGymers volunteer at Junior Parkruns! 🦸♀️🏃👟
