4 glorious Good Gymers and an honorary GG doggie called Wookie found their way to a memorial wood, which had been planted on University premises at Kimberlow Hill. Sadly the biodegradable tree guards had started to wilt & fall apart. The trees were in need of some care & attention. So the joint Good Gym and Treemendous volunteers set to, recovering guards, hammering stakes, straightening saplings, removing competition (grasses mainly) and re-using some old plastic guards to protect the young trees from pests (rabbits mainly on this site). 4 big bags of biodegradable guards & waste were removed from the site. We left the skylarks to their trilling, the trees to continue growing and the butterflies enjoying the full sunshine. Another successful mission accomplished. (* OK so it's a dreadful cockney rhyming slang pun....)
