Four runners went plogging along the Tyne. We met at our usual spot outside the Cycle Hub and discussed where our attention would have the most impact. Danilo suggested the long fence that borders the Cycle Hub car park, and that acts as a litter trap for car park litter that has blown in the wind. It turned out to be a good decision, as there was tons to pick up! We all filled a bag, and after struggling with her bag holding device to start with, Aimee filled two. We could have kept going for another hour, but given the weather had turned into one of those deceptively cold nights we're becoming used to, we walked back to the Cycle Hub with litter in hand, whilst admiring our splendid efforts along the way. A job very well done.
