Personally, this is one of my favourite tasks. Watching the empty hall be transformed into a mini art gallery is so satisfying.
Our first job was to help move the stands from under the stage, construct them and place them according to Wendy's plan.
Julie and Jen helped make sure there were hooks available at each stand so the art could be hung, whilst Jess helped with numbering the stands.
It was all hands on deck to transfer the art from stage to screen, literally, and to hang the art as directed.
Thankfully we were told not to worry about hanging them perfectly as a member of the Arts Club would cast their artistic eye over them and make any final touches.
Once the art was hung, and the table packed up and moved back onto the stage, it was time for a lunch break followed by a bit more furniture moving and setting up the 'crafty' table for the sculptures and other pieces of craftwork on display.
Having a sneak preview of the art was great, we spotted all of Amy's pieces (& were in awe of her talent).
If you can visit the exhibition over the next 2 weeks, it's definitely worth it.
There is still time to sign up for the task in 2 weeks to help them pack it all up until their Spring exhibition.
