Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Lewisham runner
A quick mission for the lovely Mr J that took me back to 1980s office processes and necessitated time travel. A handwritten paper prescription request from the hospital to take to his GP with a carbon (paper) copy - see below. The writing was so bad that the GP practice will need to enter it all manually onto their system to generate an electronic prescription for his pharmacy, which I will probably collect on Friday.
Next week’s session requires me to fill ink wells and use a quill and will be confirmed by carrier pigeon.
For younger (most) readers from Wikipedia ‘Carbon paper (originally carbonic paper) consists of sheets of paper that create one or more copies simultaneously with the creation of an original document when inscribed by a typewriter or ballpoint pen. The email term cc which means ‘carbon copy’ is derived from this use of carbon paper.’
