Against all odds and Mrs D’s expectations even the snow, rain and cold temperatures didn’t stop Frances, Alyx and I from coming in all methods of transport to knock on her front door. Thrilled, she took us through to the back garden where the builders and recent scaffolding had made a bit of a mess of the garden as had the holly growing all over broken fence.

We soon got our gloves on and the extra sharp tools out (despite the temptation of Jaffa cakes and drinks indoors). We set about removing all the overgrown holly and unwanted weeds growing over and around a fallen down fence. An hour later, with the fence back up and bags of foliage it looked like a different garden. Mrs D welcomed us indoors to warm up before we all headed off on our way.
