I learned today from Mr T that Ballantines (of Scottish Whisky fame) use a flock of geese to guard their premises (and mighty successful they are too as a deterrent apparently...), and that Mr T is a Virgo (but doesn't believe all that astrology mumbo jumbo)...brilliant.

The trip downstairs to Lidl proved remarkably quick and easy, once I'd found where to hunt down the Maris Piper potatoes (a rare addition to Mr T's familiar list), helped by the fact that the queue to pay wasn't snaking along the freezer section for once - the earlier hour of the day probably had something to do with that. All this meant I was back at Mr T's in double quick time with his treasure, which then gave us even more time for a good chat about geese and stars and many other things besides.
