Todays task with urban green in Iris Brickfield park was edging edging and more edging. A park user had commented to Urban green ranger Maddie that the path edges were becoming over grown so she had started edging them and this is what we continued.

This involved cutting back the grass which had growth over the path and restoring the path to it original width and making it look neat and tidy. It was hard work digging out the over grown grass, shoveling it into the wheelbarrow, dumping it in the woods and weeping the path clean after.

We had a quick quick tea break after an hour we saw a nice rainbow. We finished off after the break o both side where equal. You could really see the difference and hopefully park users will too.

Look out for future missions in the parks if you want to get involved in our regular missions with Urban Green.
