Thinking I was going to be alone, I brought my Dad along to this task (GoodGym and family!) we got to Plantastic mesmerised by all the growth of fruits and vegetables over the summer then got stuck in clearing a plot where what looked like a dismantled shed had been fly dumped :-o we upset a few spiders as we forced them out of lockdown but in an hour and a half, we had almost cleared the plot and separated the wood to save what was good for reuse and what was good for burning. Kathy and Rakesh enlightened us on the different plants that surrounded us and their herbal properties - invaluable knowledge and later we were rewarded with the sweet taste of Damsons that have ripened. Lovely evening!

Clear the plot that we will use to make a Community Forest Garden. Clear items that have accumulated here. Cover the plot with cardboard to turn the weeds into nutrients for the soil. Dig some ditches (swales). Later in the year we will build some interesting composting systems. To prepare for this we will move the compost that is on site to another place 10 meters away.
