This morning Liam and James met along the way to parkrun.

The weather was drizzly but with the next nearest parkrun being cancelled, and the Jubilee weekend vibe, this was sure to be a fun event.

Chatter quickly turned to Liams first daughter being due to arrive at the end of the month and how the preparations are going.

Looks like him and his lovely partner Ruth, have everything in hand, and we send them our best wishes.

Anyway, back to the parkrun. It started off well with me getting off to a really fast start, perhaps a little too fast as I had to slow down, and Liam cruelly got past me on the 2nd lap of the 3 lap course. I tried my best but was not able to catch him up again!

Having both finished reasonably quickly, it was all smiles at the end as we took our posts to do the barcode scanning for the remaining participants.

Great event and always nice to give it a little support, see you on a future one.
