The lovely volunteers at Nunsmoor Park who meet monthly to complete tasks in the park said my favourite thing today that every GoodGym runner wants to hear:

"We couldn't have done this without you"

Despite the weird biblical weather we did a great job of clearing a small garden at the entrance of Nunsmoor Park: cutting back hedges, clearing weeds, digging, chopping, shearing and getting pricked nine million times in the process by thorny bushes. We also had time to make friends with the wildlife: Tanya attacked by flies, Carol Anne visited by a ladybird and me, almost taking a snail home that had made itself comfortable on my bag!

Check out the before and after photos to see the impact just a small group made in a few hours!

This will now become a monthly community mission, always the last Saturday of the month but with a variety of jobs to get involved with.

Well done everyone, we rocked.

Regular food and growing activities, rooms for hire and much more

The Bike Garden is a vibrant community space developed on the site of a previous bowling green in Nuns Moor Park, which now serves the community as a place to join in on regular food growing activities, place to hire for private and public events, that may be regular or one-offs, and much more
