We spent a lovely morning at CoFarm helping Abbey People with maintaining the farm. It was great to have Ann back with us, and she and Catherine and I were able to have a nice catch-up. We also managed to clear a large area of Fat Hen, which I've learned is considered a weed but is also cultivated as a food in some areas of the world. My fun fact for today!

Harvesting at the farm
Harvesting and weeding sessions to ensure the food grown at the farm goes out to the city's network of food justice organisations.

Abbey People & Cambridge Sustainable Food are running regular harvest and weeding sessions to ensure the food that has been grown goes out to the city’s network of food justice organisations. Once plots are harvested, we are putting them to bed for the winter.

Tidy up at Margaret Wright Community Orchard
🗓Wednesday 3rd December 9:30am

Maintaining the orchard in good condition ensures it's a great space for the local community to enjoy - many of whom don't have their own gardens.
