** ‘Well another Wednesday has arrived so it must be time for GoodGym Colchester meet up again in the red and black t shirts. It was a crisp cold evening, just right for a run down by the river.**

We welcomed Nick Ipswich a few times and Ettienne who was joining us for the first time.As always everyone was pleased to see each other. We were joined for the briefing by Louise who as most of you know is expecting her first child ,lovely to see you Louise. We also heard about Hannah’s wonderful achievement at the Budapest Marathon on Sunday. She finished in a superb time of 4:17.It was a PB for Hannah by a massive 20 minutes.

We are all very proud of you Hannah!

Tav spoke about future missions too.

We headed to one of my favourite tasks -The Colchester Foodbank. We meet Amanda when we arrived at the Foodbank.

I always feel very fortunate when we visit the FoodBank.Fortunate in that my family is not in the position to need the Foodbank and fortunate that a chance to make a small difference to those who need the Foodbank.

We set about preparing some food parcels and cleaning the reception area. Everyone worked hard and got the task in no time.

On the way back to our base at Leisure World we did some hill training at the towards the top of East Hill. Everyone worked hard.

We then headed back towards Leisure World to stretch and say our goodbyes.

Best wishes to Emma, Ella & Tav who are running the Southend 10km this coming Sunday.

Good luck to you all.

Please reminder to sign up on the GoodGym site for the social on the 23rd October. It would great to see as many of you as possible there.

*On a personal note tonight was my 150th Good Deed at GoodGym Colchester. *

Enjoy your running everyone.

As ever,

Ian

PS Thank you to Amanda, FOODBANK supervisor and Lidl for the free flowers! It is important to know that the foodbank is working towards a new building they own and do not need to pay high rent on...visit them on facebook or twitter or in person to donate.
